What is internet radio?
Internet radio is your music...your way...without needing to download anything. There are many different services out there. Here are a few to get you started:
For this tutorial we will be showing you Pandora Internet Radio. First things first open up your web browser of choice and direct yourself to Pandora.
Next you will need to register to use Pandora. It's only 5 questions and then you're on your way to custom internet radio. Pandora will prompt you about having a music profile. It will allow your friends to keep track of what you listen to.
After you submit your registration you will be greeted with the start a station screen. Here you can type any artist, album, or song to start your station. In the example we started with Aerosmith as our base station.
Next we are going to mix things up a bit. Located in the left column, right under where your station name is you can select the "add variety" button. It will allow you to mesh together an infinite number of artists, albums, and songs.
You can then rename you station to anything you like by selecting "options" and then "Rename this station"...it really is that easy.
Pandora will allow you to have multiple custom stations and they will only get better over time as you "Thumbs Up" and "Thumbs Down" tracks while they play. Sit back, relax, and enjoy your custom radio station in less than 5 minutes :)
